Passing Time

Passing Time by ~JPDesignhome on deviantART

A painting I made in ArtRage. I think I'm liking my Adesso!

How many steps has it taken to get to where we are today? Are we moving forward?

Clouds Painting

Clouds by ~JPDesignhome on deviantART

This is a painting done in ArtRage. I have a new Adesso Graphics Tablet and ArtRage software. Hubby gave these to me for Christmas! He encourages my creativity!  Digital painting is amazing and so much fun. It's so much cleaner and easier to use than traditional paint and supplies. So I hope to keep teaching myself new techniques and hopefully produce art worth viewing!

New Art! This is a drawing done in pencil and charcoal. A growing collection of my art can be found on DeviantArt.com, the link is above. My art ranges from drawing and painting to altered books and fiber/fabric art. I love to experiment with new textures and mediums.

Hubby was very good to me this year. One of my Christmas gifts is a cyber art tablet, woo hoo! I'm getting started with it now and have been enjoying learning about all of the features. More to come...

Christmas Card - Art

Christmas Card - 10.1 by ~JPDesignhome on deviantART

Christmas is coming! A new Christmas card by me for this 2010 holiday season.

Not always beautiful

This is the final result of the tree A project.

Often when challenged by life we hang on to things that may not be best for us. Being unable to move forward or to make decisions hinders ones ability to function in life. As in our daily living it's best that we leave somethings unsaid and to let other things go!

when monkey mind meets paint

What may look like a jumbled mess to one may look like a ship with her sails in the wind to another. Life is sort of like that too. First impressions are often the only thing discovered by some about others. It's a shame we don't look closer and find the talented, funny, sad or lonely soul that hides within.

This is me playing around with color! I know many of you have colored something similar as a child. :) Well, this is just one of the ways I like to start a picture. Here, it just happens that I'm painting with my mouse! I also do this when using colored pencil and acrylics.

Here I start with a crazy paint picture! I flip it a bunch and then I find the treasure that's hidden there waiting for me to unlock it!

This is the what I found in the crazy paint picture. Can you see the vases or vessels?

                                Vessels Of Three

Vessel: a container (as a cask, bottle, kettle, cup, or bowl) for holding something .

2 Corinthians, 4:7 - But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

This is Tiger.

Before bath. She's a happy cat!

After bath. Not so happy!

Much later. Recovered and dancing to the music!

A very happy Tiger!

This is Bus.

Before bath. She is always hungry!

After bath. Hmm..not hungry!

Clean and fed. A happy Bus!

just me and a tree...

Here's a peek at the latest progress of my TreeA art project. I know it may not stand out, but there has been change. I've worked on this for some time now. Little by little this tree is growing! Art is great therapy for what ails you!

Day and Night

we must remember

Tree A – still growing!

The latest update on a growing paint picture of Tree A with a pop of red.

I really like coffee.......

Some days I think coffee flows through my veins. Got to start the day off with a minimum of two cups. I go through periods of saving the grounds. The grounds get used in my garden and often I use them in my art projects. It's easy to use the grounds as a dye for paper or fabric.

Here are some other interesting uses for coffee grounds.

Tree in works! Tree A

This is an update to the current painting I'm working on. I've added a few more branches and some shading. My art often evolves into something totally different than what I had planned. Well, best laid plans.....creative freedom!

I like using mspaint. It's some much fun to have a undo / redo option when creating art and my hands stay clean!

Tree Of Plum - Mother's Day card

I've used the Tree Of Plum painting I've posted updates on to create a Mother's Day card.  This card can be viewed and purchased by clicking the link below. Thanks for taking the time to check out my creations! Come visit my store on CafePress!
