Passing Time

Passing Time by ~JPDesignhome on deviantART

A painting I made in ArtRage. I think I'm liking my Adesso!

How many steps has it taken to get to where we are today? Are we moving forward?

Clouds Painting

Clouds by ~JPDesignhome on deviantART

This is a painting done in ArtRage. I have a new Adesso Graphics Tablet and ArtRage software. Hubby gave these to me for Christmas! He encourages my creativity!  Digital painting is amazing and so much fun. It's so much cleaner and easier to use than traditional paint and supplies. So I hope to keep teaching myself new techniques and hopefully produce art worth viewing!

Not always beautiful

This is the final result of the tree A project.

Often when challenged by life we hang on to things that may not be best for us. Being unable to move forward or to make decisions hinders ones ability to function in life. As in our daily living it's best that we leave somethings unsaid and to let other things go!

when monkey mind meets paint

What may look like a jumbled mess to one may look like a ship with her sails in the wind to another. Life is sort of like that too. First impressions are often the only thing discovered by some about others. It's a shame we don't look closer and find the talented, funny, sad or lonely soul that hides within.

This is me playing around with color! I know many of you have colored something similar as a child. :) Well, this is just one of the ways I like to start a picture. Here, it just happens that I'm painting with my mouse! I also do this when using colored pencil and acrylics.

Here I start with a crazy paint picture! I flip it a bunch and then I find the treasure that's hidden there waiting for me to unlock it!

This is the what I found in the crazy paint picture. Can you see the vases or vessels?

                                Vessels Of Three

Vessel: a container (as a cask, bottle, kettle, cup, or bowl) for holding something .

2 Corinthians, 4:7 - But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Peace! JJ

Tree in works! Tree A

This is an update to the current painting I'm working on. I've added a few more branches and some shading. My art often evolves into something totally different than what I had planned. Well, best laid plans.....creative freedom!

I like using mspaint. It's some much fun to have a undo / redo option when creating art and my hands stay clean!

Tree of plum -stage 1

I love trees! The beginning of my latest project.

Purpleleaf plum trees are a beautiful addition to any landscape. We have several, with one of them being the "mother" tree. This tree was purchased as an ornamental. Then the first year it gave us small red plums. We thought it might be a fluke, a misfit grafted product. We would wait to see what the plum tree would do the following year. Then right on time fruit developed and that year the plums were larger and darker. So, we have a nice large tree that is beautiful (ornamental) in the spring when it blooms, puts out enough plums for us to enjoy and gives some great shade. Some years I leave a few fallen plums and let them grow next to the mother tree until they're big enough to transplant. One the our transplants will be old enough to fruit this year and probably will. We shall see!

Eye with computer paint program - 1

I've always loved to paint and draw using multiple mediums. I'm playing around with a paint program to experiment with and learn new shading and blending techniques. It's much easier and faster to paint digitally and clean up is a "click" away. :) So, I will post updates here as I continue on my journey through paint. Subjects will be erratic, I'm sure, as I have "monkey mind".

One of my favorite subjects is the eye. This eye project is not to scale and looking a little odd at this stage but it is a work in progress. I believe in painting what you see and feel (not worried about scale and proportion). We shall see how this comes out. - JJ

Bring forth good fruit!

Each day I hope that in some small way that I bring forth good fruit with my works. I'm forever grateful for all of the talents that I have been blessed with which are the fruits of the many who have touched my world.

I used a paint program to complete this picture. Trees are one of my favorite subjects to draw, paint and photograph.  - J
