So, the decluttering is still on and the piles are shifting. I'm starting to see more of the floor. It's so hard to let some things go. There is a lot of cardboard in this room when that is out it will be even better. I'm proud to say I got rid of the diaper pail and toy box. Hanging head when I say my baby is 13. We were using those things for other purposes. Now a friend will get new use out of them. So here is some before photos of my cluttered room.
Be gentle!!!

Eye with computer paint program - 1
I've always loved to paint and draw using multiple mediums. I'm playing around with a paint program to experiment with and learn new shading and blending techniques. It's much easier and faster to paint digitally and clean up is a "click" away. :) So, I will post updates here as I continue on my journey through paint. Subjects will be erratic, I'm sure, as I have "monkey mind".
One of my favorite subjects is the eye. This eye project is not to scale and looking a little odd at this stage but it is a work in progress. I believe in painting what you see and feel (not worried about scale and proportion). We shall see how this comes out. - JJ

In search of comfort....
Bible Resources, Online Bible, Read the Bible, Search the Bible, Bible Study Plan, Passage Search, Keyword Search: "Psalm 147:3 (Whole Chapter)
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
My day didn't end as it had begun like all other days. What was an average day has ended on a sad note. I need courage and strength more some days than others. When there is a broken heart be it physical or emotional or even a combination of both there is hope. Thank you God for all blessings and for holding my hand no matter which way the road curves.

Update: Decluttering
The clutter control project has moved to the parent's retreat. This is a room that has become the largest walk-in closet in our home. Not it's original purpose at all!! Years ago I sold lots of stuff through auctions and there are leftovers from that, furniture, books, incomplete projects of all stages and more. I now have 3 more bags and 2 boxes of items to go to Goodwill. Smiling inside! More to come....

15 Minute Baby Steps to Becoming Clutter-Free | Neatology
15 Minute Baby Steps to Becoming Clutter-Free Neatology
On Tuesday I loaded my car with bags and boxes full of goodies and made a trip to Goodwill. Our home feels much lighter and naturally cleaner now. Why I put things off I don't know. I do know things have a way of accumulating over time and it's seems the closets are not ever big enough until it's time to clean them out. So, one baby step down and many more to go.! Happy "decluttering"!

How to Prune a Grape Vine eHow.com
This was a very informative article from eHow.com. Very good to get easy to follow directions when you need advice and I need all the advice I can get. I want to prune the grape vine this year. Our vine came from a cutting off of my Daddy's vine so I'd really like not to damage it in the process. We enjoyed the largest harvest yet last year and hope to have our vine for years to come.

How to Declutter in 4 Easy Steps - Photos - SouthernLiving.com
It all started with packing away Christmas decorations. Feeling overwhelmed with the whole task at hand only made me think of other areas in my home that need to be decluttered. All of this clutter didn't happen overnight and the declutter process will take time.
You never think you have enough closet space until it's time to face the contents and decide to throw away, give away, or put away ( in a more organized fashion). I'd also forgotten how large some of my closets are, especially the one I chose to start this decluttering process. Results today: Items to give away-6 larges bags, 2 boxes and one rug! After cleaning the closet I got the kids involved and started going through toys/games. Some of the results today include their findings. We will be donating these items to a local charity. Thanks to my husband who deals with the garbage generated through cleaning out.
So as with any mission searching the Internet helps me. Sometimes I find tips, ideas, or get inspiration to keep plowing through. Here is one click that helped me with this project.
